DIRECTORATES ACTIVITIES
To the glory of God, all Directors and Heads of Departments actively engaged in their ministry assignments in May. Notable highlights include:
- National Medical Committee Inaugurated: A five-member committee chaired by Dr. Sunday Ogli (Benue State Teaching Hospital) was inaugurated on May 14 to oversee staff medical welfare and advise the Council.
- Estate Committee Resumes: After a long break, the Estate Committee held a successful meeting on May 21st to discuss concerns related to FCS properties, with seven members in attendance.
- Monitoring & Evaluation Training: A 3-day training (May 29 – June 1) brought together 19 Area Secretaries, Directors, and Heads of Departments to strengthen oversight and reporting systems.

- Send-Forth: On May 26th, FCS honoured Sis. Favour Ijoko (a volunteer in the Finance Department), who was leaving to go for NYSC, with prayers and warm celebration.

- Humanitarian Response & Social Intervention: Following the tragic attack on Zikke Village on April 12th, which claimed 53 lives and destroyed 151 rooms, the FCS Humanitarian Department conducted two visits to the community. In response to the devastation, financial assistance of ₦60,000 each was provided to 44 affected households. The post-intervention visit carried out on May 14th confirmed that the support reached those in greatest need. During this visit, beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude and shared how the intervention brought hope in a time of despair. One woman told the FCS team, “I have never held, nor had up to ₦60,000 at once in my life — FCS made that possible. The night I received it; I could not sleep.” Her words reflect the deep impact of this timely support and the opportunity it created for renewed dignity and empowerment amid loss.
