- FCS Reading Notes enable people to regularly encounter the Bible message which leads them to CHANGE AND GROWTH, AND MATURITY.
- FCS Notes do not stand alone but usually help their users to explore the Bible.
- FCS Notes encourage people to daily use the Bible and listen to God each day.
- FCS Notes are aimed at expounding the Scripture carefully and contextually.
- Our reading or studying of the Bible is SYSTEMATIC and not AD-HOC.
- Our Notes teach people to respond to the Bible text in A THOUGHTFUL and MEDITATIVE way.
- We encourage our Notes’ users to come to the Bible humbly and prayerfully and to explore its message METHODICALLY and CAREFULLY.

HELPFUL STEPS FOR A FRUITFUL QUIET TIME
Step 1 – PRAY: Start with prayer.
Step 2 – READ: Read the passage for the day carefully and slowly.
Step 3 – MEDITATE: As you read, observe keywords, events, places, and/or people, and prayerfully seek the lessons or truths that are in the passage.
Step 4 – RESPOND: Respond to the passage in prayer. Turn your discoveries about God (Father, Son, or Holy Spirit) into worship. Turn your discoveries about yourself into decisions and pray for God’s help to act wisely and in faith.
Step 5 – SHARE: Decide how to share your discoveries with other people by word and in practical action.
